JOHNSTOWN — Martella's Pharmacy defeated Youngstown 7-6 in the AAABA Tournament's opening-day night-cap. The other two local teams opened their tournament runs with losses. Paul Carpenter Capital Advisors fell to New Orleans, 3-0. And, Altoona's Johnston Realty lost to New Brunswick, 13-0. North American Hgans expands Johnstown operations

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Gov. Tom Wolf announced that North American Höganäs is expanding operations in Cambria County. Officials say the expansion will bring 25 jobs to the Johnstown area. “Pennsylvania’s powdered metals industry is a major contributor to our manufacturing sector,” Wolf said. “Höganäs’ decision to expand here is great news for Pennsylvania manufacturing, and will provide at least 25 reliable, family-sustaining jobs for Cambria County workers.” The powdered metal products manufacturer is investing in new machinery, a new 24,000-square-foot building and additional employees. Police arrest York Co. man after the killing of two men, family dog in Maryland

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A York County man is behind bars after being identified as the suspect in a double homicide in Maryland. According to Maryland authorities, the incident happened on the 1700 block of Scott Road in Pylesville Saturday evening. When police arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. Officials say both men died at the scene with the family dog also being shot and killed. Read More...
