JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — UPDATE Westmont Hilltop School district will be on a two-hour delay on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023. The school district says the delay will allow teachers to prepare for the school day. The school district issued the following statement, "In consultation with our law enforcement partners and with authorization from the Board of School Directors, we have made a collective determination to reopen the school district on Thursday, February 2, 2023, based on factors including the non-specific nature of the threat involved. A landmark year of support for local counties

The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies held their annual Founder’s Day on Thursday where they presented their annual report to the community. The event took place at the community foundation Oilhouse in People's Natural Gas Park in Johnstown. Organizers tell us that they experienced a record-breaking year with over 17 million dollars in grants that were distributed to the community, and a record breaking 123 million dollars in assets. The grants reaching Cambria, Somerset, Bedford, and Indiana county - supporting murals, early childhood education and scholarships among others. Read More...
