Portable cat shelters and neutering proposed as solutions for Johnstown stray crisis

Cambria County, PA — Residents in our area say neighborhood cat populations are out of control. They say concerns began when they started to see groups of them wandering the streets more frequently. They say a lack of assistance from authorities, plus people allegedly abandoning their animals are to blame. State College attorney wins bid as next judge in Centre Co. court of common pleas

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — In Centre County, a long-time attorney is headed to be the next judge in the county’s court of common pleas. Julia Rater, of State College, won both the Democratic and Republican primary races in the county judge’s election, defeating fellow Democrat Gopal Balachandran. Rater, who has primarily practiced family law for nearly 30 years, stressed that experience in what she termed was her first, and only, political race of her career. Read More...
