UPDATE |SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police are providing new details about this week's hours-long standoff in Meyersdale as authorities say the suspect reportedly claimed that he was being followed.
According to the affidavit, troopers were dispatched to the area of Large Street, around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, for reports of a man walking around with a handgun.

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Conemaugh Valley varsity girls' basketball coach Teri Cruse was honored Wednesday night prior to the Blue Jays' matchup against Ferndale.
Coach Cruse, who is retiring at season's end, was recognized during pregame ceremonies with approximately 30 former players in attendance.

INDIANA – Cresson native Josh Gallagher will serve as the opening act for country artist Lee Ann Womack’s performance at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on April 20 at 8 p.m., it was announced Thursday.
