Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Will the new year bring a new decision in the ongoing dispute over plans for a new casino in Centre County?
More legal documents were filed Tuesday in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court after the court, last year, decided to consolidate the casino project legal cases in lower courts.

UNIVERSITY PARK - Penn State University women's gymnastics head coach Jeff Thompson was relieved of his duties Thursday, according to a news release from the university's athletics department.
Thompson was in his seventh year in charge of the program.
The university said assistants Kera Molinaro and Josh Nilson will serve as interim co-head coaches for the rest of the season.
The university would not specify for the reason of Thompson's firing, but Thompson's wife and former associate head coach, Rachelle Thompson, resigned in May after PennLive. Read More...
A 22-year-old Somerset Borough man has been charged with repeatedly raping a boy starting in 2021.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, in September, the boy told police that Brandon Warrick began sexually assaulting him when he was 12 or 13 years old.
During some of the assaults, Warrick is accused of holding a knife to the boy’s throat, choking him and placing a plastic bag over his head, according to the affidavit. Read More...
