SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A kick-off event was held Thursday night in Somerset County to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Stoystown.
The celebrations took place at the Stoystown Historical Society.
State representatives Carl Metzgar and Pat Stefano were in attendance to highlight the city's history.

HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Raystown Lake announced Friday on Facebook that Tatman Run Beach is closed.
According to the post, the closure of the beach is the result of high bacteria levels in a water sample.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers say the beach will reopen when water sample results are cleared for public access.
