Altoona prepares for return of African-American Heritage Festival

Altoona, PA (WJAC) — Altoona will once again be hosting the African American Heritage Festival, in downtown Altoona. The event will take place on July 29th and 30th, at Heritage Plaza on 11th Avenue. Bellefonte lacrosse honors late teammate in heartfelt playoff game

The Bellefonte boys lacrosse team played in a playoff game on Tuesday, just three days after one of their teammates passed away. Head Coach Rick Johnson says the game took on a bigger meaning. Although the Bellefonte boys lacrosse team lost to Selinsgrove on Tuesday in their district playoff matchup, coach Johnson says he is so proud of this team, and how they’ve rallied around each other following the passing of their teammate, 16-year-old Nathan Dan, on Saturday night. Tuscon has seen a 134% increase year over year in undocumented migrants encountered, most looking to claim asylum.
