CRESSON -- A Cresson man is facing multiple charges, including raping a 17-year-old girl in late September.
Frederick Brooks III, 38, of the 100 block of Easy Street, is charged with sexual assault, possession of child pornography, corruption of minors and indecent assault.
According to a criminal complaint, Cresson Township police said the girl stayed overnight at his residence with a friend.

CONNEAUT LAKE, Pa. (AP) — A fire at a northwestern Pennsylvania amusement park has damaged a wooden roller coaster built more than eight decades ago.
WICU-TV says reports from Conneaut Lake Park late Tuesday afternoon indicated that a controlled burn near the carousel got out of hand. The fire spread to nearby buildings and structures, including part of the Blue Streak roller coaster, the station reported. No injuries were reported. Read More...
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The Greater Johnstown Water Authority officially approved buying the city’s sewer system Thursday evening.
June 23, the Johnstown City Council unanimously agreed to sell the sewer system for $24 million, plus the assumption of $63 million in debt, to the GJWA.
City officials say the money received for the sewer system will be used for things like city pensions, road repairs, and blight.
As part of the agreement, the water authority can’t raise sewer rates for three years. Read More...
